Sunday night, Becca had a special visit from Santa! Santa visited all the babies in the NICU and left them Christmas presents. The nurses took the above picture…looks like they dressed Becca up like a little elf.
I enjoyed holding Becca Sunday afternoon. Josh brought a mirror so I could watch her face, since kangaroo care doesn’t allow for much “face-time.” Becca settled right in to being held and did really well during her 30-minute holding time. Afterward, we changed her diaper and settled her in for another long winter’s nap.
Oh how cute!!! So glad you got to hold and see her:)
She is definitely starting to fill out!! Pretty soon, she’s gonna be a cute, chubby little thing. Her face is getting rounder . . . And, gosh! All that pretty black hair! 🙂
Doing the whole Santa thing could be a good ministry, in a sense. There was an article in the paper this week about a man who does Santa at a cancer hospice for children. He seemed to have such a sweet spirit, and really took the job because he cared about the kids and wanted to let them know they were not alone in their battle. He explained how he had to emotionally gear up for each day, and all the questions they had for him, but at the same time, how he was able to make the families feel loved, warm and understood at a time when they needed it most–the holidays.
Save this picture for when she’s older, Amy!! And regardless of what you wanna teach her about the whole Santa thing when she grows, bless the man who came to visit all those sweet innocent lives in NICU. I’m sure he’s doing it out of love.
She is the cutest elf! So glad to read about her progress, we continue to pray for all of you.
