Today is Becca’s 6-week birthday! She started out this week (Sunday) by coming out of her incubator and is now wearing clothes and working on learning to take her feedings from a bottle. Once she learns to take all her feedings through a bottle, she will be released to come home! So far, Becca takes one bottle during the day-shift and one during the night-shift. The occupational therapist works with her bottle-feeding during the day, and Josh has been able to go in during this time and learn all that goes into bottle-feeding a preemie!
Becca’s current weight is 4 lbs. and 4 oz. We’re very pleased with her progress. Thank you for your continual prayers for our little girl!
Thank you for the quick update. I love you very much, and she looks BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Awesome!! She’s growing SO MUCH!!
She is getting so adorable! And CLOTHES!!! Yippee. How fun! God is good. Very excited for you.
Look at her all cute and dressed up! And with a bottle too! So thankful for her growth!
She looks so cute and cuddly in her clothes! She’s going to be home before you know it!! 🙂
wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! love ya!
Wow!!! I am so excited to see a real baby wearing those clothes. I remember seeing that green outfit hanging in your bedroom – it was so lonesome with no baby inside!! Becca looks great!!!
She does look mighty cute in that green sleeper with the matching green hat! And, as strange as it may sound, it’s encouraging to see the picture of her crying, too. I remember how I actually enjoyed it when Zacharie first started finding his lungs, because it seemed his first 24 hours of life he wasn’t even able to find the energy to cry.
So glad to see Becca progressing. Looking forward to the post when you tell us she’s on her way home!
When I look at the pictures of Becca, I can’t help but praise the Lord for she is “fearfully and wonderfully made”. Her sweet little features and full head of hair, her little tiny perfect fingers are all testaments to God’s growing her even outside the womb. You all are in my prayers and in my heart. Rejoicing at the milestone of coming out of the incubater and into clothes and trying the bottle. I will pray she learns to feed well and that she comes home soon.
Wow! What a blessing. God is Great! Love seeing all the pictures. Be of strong courage and good cheer. We are Uncle Jimmy’s son and daughter-in-law from Florida. Sending warm wishes and beach sand your way.
Becca looks great! Do you think that someday she’ll be upset with so many of us praying for her to gain weight? Just a thought!
