When we visited Becca last evening we found out that they’re giving her caffeine to stimulate the part of her brain that reminds her to breathe. I’m not sure when they’ll let me start bringing her coffee in the mornings, but when I get the okay, I’m ready!
Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. Every day so far, we’ve had encouraging news on Becca’s progress, and every day Amy feels a little better. We don’t know what God has in store for the coming days, but we’re trusting that He knows best.
Probably later today Amy will post some photos for Becca’s 1-week birthday.
Well, when she’s hooked on coffee by age 2 we’ll know why! Happy 1-wk birthday to Becca! Can’t wait to see her birthday party pictures! 😉
Praying that you will have a good day.
HAPPY 1-week-old BIRTHDAY !!!!!!! It looks like your “prayer warrior”(from her ultrasound picture) has brought an army of fellow prayer warriors to the throne of our Father!! We give Him praise for His faithfulness and goodness that we see demonstrated in your lives as you walk this part of your life’s journey. We are celebrating with you today….1 week old!!! Happy birthday to you little Miss Becca!!!! We love ya’ll!!
I love it, AND I LOVE the new counter on the blog. Awesome. It’s hard to believe a week has already passed. Before we know it, you’ll be getting to bring Becca home. Love you both so much. Continuing to pray for grace, patience, and strength.
Now I know why I need coffee so desperately in the mornings!! 🙂 It’s wonderful to see how the Lord has worked in this week since Becca’s birth, and we’re praying for continuing strength and grace for you all and continued good progress for Becca and her mommy! Can’t wait to see more pictures!
Love the new counter! I hope she doesn’t go through caffeine withdrawal when she leaves NICU!
Congratulations! I remember that feeling of having a baby(well, my wife mostly!) Hope all is well—–and I know it will be . Somebody did a jam up job on your website/blog—–but , then again, anyone with Emmit’s blood coursing through their veins—-has some sort of technical magic! All the best from the West Family in Connecticut (Robert and Carolyn’s son and family/Joan’s 1st cousin—-whether she admits it or not!) 🙂 Ciao!
Bobby, Graciela, Iana and Hopeland
Praying!
I love the new counter as well! I’m sure you’ll introduce her to GOOD coffee, Josh 🙂 We’re continuing to pray!
