Update By Isaiah. . .

DSC_2598DSC_2607Since my mommy is a wee bit behind and forgetful this week, I’m taking over today’s blog post to give an update on our travels. So far we’ve been in three different homes and everyone thinks I’m adorable. Partnership Development is really easy when you’re cute and most everyone wants to make you smile.

DSC_2625DSC_2656This week we’re in the DC area, and Becca and I are delighted with the government shutdown. We’ve been saved from going to museums and monuments and instead get to go to parks . We did make it to the National Museum of the Marine Corps last Monday before the shutdown – the fishing was great. And Daddy even dressed up like a Union soldier, which is funny, because he’s from South Carolina. Well, I better crawl back in bed before I wake anyone else up – all is well and the food is good. ~Isaiah

  1. Great pictures!! Nice writing, Isaiah. You really have the knack! Tell your mom & dad hi for us, and give Becca a good, brotherly hug and kiss from us! 😉

  2. Hi Isaiah. Thank you for the great update! So glad you got to go to the Marine Corps museum. Uncle Mike was a Marine before he became a Christian, and the experience in Vietnam was one of the first steps on his path to believing in Jesus. Stepping off the helicopter in the Vietnam part of the museum, and then the camp – that was Uncle Mike’s world for a time on the battlefield. His father was a Marine too – actually became a 4-star general. The cold cold place in the Korean section of the museum – that was his world for awhile. He survived that freezing below-zero time on the battlefield and also led men in the Inchon Landing. I hope you get to go back there someday when you’re older. And just a reminder, we love you and your family and are praying for you.!

  3. Great update, Isaiah! Enjoyed the pictures and update of your trip. I get bored after a little while in most museums, too – but your grandpa loves them. Guess that’s the difference in our intellectual pursuits. Your great-grandpa Martin was a Marine in Korea, so that museum would have been more interesting to me than most. But I’ll go to the parks with you most any day.
